Brutus Hamilton 10k

Today I will am leaving to head out to Cal-Berkley to run the 10,000m at the Brutus Hamilton Invitational sponsored by the New York Road Runners. I have been looking forward to this race since the beginning of the outdoor season and feel really good heading into it. After running 3:53 at the Sea Ray Relays (I will get the video of this up soon) I had my best two weeks of training that I have had in a long time that has given me a lot of confidence in set a big personal best this weekend. The New York Road Runners have done a great job in setting up quality fields and experienced rabbits in all the distance events. Flotrack will be there with live coverage of the meet.

Also out at the Brutus Hamilton I will be wearing a “new” jersey, as I have signed a 1 year contract with the Hanson’s ODP. I will be a part of the non-resident program, so I will be able to still live and train in Kalamazoo with Artie as my coach. It is a great opportunity to be back as a member of the Hanson’s and be able to continue the progress I have made in my current training environment.
