Quick update on the Krush Squad

We have added two new members to the group, Noelle Martz and Tara Murray. Noelle recently ran the Baltimore Marathon where she was the 73rd female (3:39) and earned a Boston qualifying time. Big congrats to her. Tara just joined the group on Dec. 1. She’s running pain free after recovering from a stress fracture and is training for a sub 3:30 marathon. She’s very active in the local running community and is the race director for two very popular races, Give ’em 5 for Veterans and the Dog Jog 5k.  She’s building her mileage back up and starting to do some workouts. She’s planning to run the First Night State College Resolution Run 5K as her first race since July. She’s not sure if she’ll match the 20:08 PR she ran there last year, but she said she it will be fun to be in a race again. Welcome ladies!

Rebecca Donaghue

Rebecca set a new course record at the Nittany Valley Half marathon as she finished 4th overall in 1:17:25. Here’s the Update she posted to RunningRebecca.com and the results from the half-marathon. Read about her most recent workout at the Rails-to-Trails in Alexandria where she did more marathon prep to get ready for the Olympic Trials. Rebecca’s Army added another district 6 championship to the mantle and finished ninth at the PIAA Championships to conclude their season.

Taryn’s women are running well at Louisville and coming off a season where they placed 23rd at the Southeast Regional. She’s helped by her husband, volunteer assistant coach Ryan “Ryno” Sheehan. The Sheehans are doing a great job fitting in their training with their demanding coaching schedule. Ryno is getting ready for the Olympic Trials Marathon in Houston as well and will provide an update soon.

Artie is running twice a day while managing everyone’s training schedule and making sure all of the athletes are ready for their season’s goal.
